В статията са разгледани въпроси, свързани с ролята и политиката на Пакистан в регионалната и глобална среда за сигурност. Анализирани са действията на пакистанското военно и държавно ръководство за ограничаване влиянието на Индия в Афганистан, търсенето на нови регионални съюзи с Китай, Русия и Иран, както и актуалните двустранни отношения със САЩ. Направен е преглед на вътрешната среда за сигурност в Пакистан и нейното влошаване през 2021 г., вследствие на терористичната дейност на организации като – Ал Кайда, Движението на пакистанските талибани, Ислямска държава Хорасан, както и белуджистанските сепаратистки групировки.
The Geostrategic Security Environment in South Asia and the Role of Pakistan

The article has examined issues related to the Pakistan’s role and policy in the regional and global security environment. The actions of the Pakistani military and state leadership to limit India’s influence in Afghanistan, search for new regional alliances with China, Russia and Iran, as well as current bilateral relations with the United States also have been analyzed. A review of the Pakistan’s internal security environment and its deterioration in 2021 due to the terrorist activities of organizations such as Al Qaeda, the Pakistani Taliban Movement, the Islamic State of Khorasan, and Baluchistan separatist groups has been reviewed as well.
