Целта на тази публикация е опит да се изследват и оценят последиците от украинската криза за прилагането на китайската инициатива „Един пояс, един път“ (OBOR). Предвид актуалността на темата и нейната научна и политическа значимост, целта беше също да се проучи неизбежното въздействие на кризата върху геополитическите и геоикономическите процеси и новите тенденции, изкристализирали в международните отношения. Методологията на изследването включва инструменти за анализ на съдържанието и дискурса, които се използват за анализ на динамиката на украинско-китайските политически и икономически отношения, проблемите, възникнали по пътя към прилагането на BRI в настоящата криза, същността и трансформацията на руско-китайските и американо-китайските отношения по време на украинската война; както и международните реалности, свързани с тези въпроси. Статията разглежда редица наративи, които са пряко свързани с конфронтацията между Запада и Русия и ролята на Китай в този контекст.
Ukrainian crisis: implications for China’s belt and road initiative

The purpose of this publication is an attempt to investigate and evaluate the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis for the implementation of the Chinese Belt and Road initiative (BRI). Given the relevance of the topic and its scientific and political significance, the goal was also to study the inevitable impact of the crisis on geopolitical and geo-economic processes and new trends crystallizing in international relations.
The research methodology includes the tools of content and discourse analysis, which are used to analyze the dynamics of Ukrainian-Chinese political and economic relations, problems that have arisen in the way of the implementation of the BRI in the context of the current crisis, the nature and transformation of Russian-Chinese and US-Chinese relations during the Ukrainian war; as well as international realities associated with these problems. The article discusses a number of narratives that are directly related to the West-Russia confrontation and the role of China in that context.
