През последните години отношенията между България и Република Северна Македония бяха динамични и преминаха през различни етапи. Някои от тях допринесоха за благоприятен климат в двустранните отношенията, докато други помогнаха на македонизма да укрепи корените си сред обществото на югозападните ни съседи. Този доклад си поставя за цел да анализира какво е македонизмът, каква роля играе той в двустранните отношения между България и Северна Македония и как преодоляването му е ключът към европейска интеграция на Република Северна Македония.
Overcoming Macedonianism – the key to the European integration of the Republic of Northern Macedonia

Вachelor of “International Relations” from the University of National and World Economy. He is currently studying in the master’s programme “Diplomacy and Strategic Analysis” at the University of National and World Economy. In 2021 he served as Chairman of the Managing Board of the International Relations Research Student Association (IRRSA). In 2022 he was selected as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the organization.
In recent years, relations between Bulgaria and the Republic of Northern Macedonia have been dynamic and have gone through various stages. Some of them have contributed to a favorable climate in bilateral relations, while others have helped Macedonian nationalism strengthen its roots in the society of our southwestern neighbors. This report aims to analyze what Macedonian nationalism is, what role does it play in the bilateral relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia and how overcoming it is the key to the European integration of the Republic of North Macedonia.
